FUP – Fair Usage Policy
The FUP introduced by SATLink DVB Sytem and applied by the SES Astra Teleport will check for each VSAT the traffic volume done during the last 30 days. In the following table it is possible to check the available SATLink profiles toghether with traffic volume restriction.

FUP will be applied following different day periods. There are two main differences:
- DAY PROFILE: 8.00-20.00 CET
- NIGHT PROFILE: 20.00-8.00 CET
During the DAY PROFILE for each VSAT the traffic volume will be counted and the restriction in Table 2 will be applied, considering the traffic generated during the last 30 days.
Each VSAT profile and traffic management can be checked to a specifc URL provided to the customer:
In the upper left part of the image it is possible to obtain customer parameters:
The real Upload and Download Traffic is shown in Download ed Upload Traffic net. The same traffic is shown in the Download and Upload Level bars.
The Upload e Download Peak Throughput shows the available maximum bandwidth of the system, considering also the restrictions confirmed in the item Restricted in, that has two possible values: Upload and/or Download.
In order to receive a notice about restrictions the customer should provide an email address in the correspondent box.
The NIGHT PROFILE start at 20.00 CET and ends at 8.00 CET. Within this time interval the following rules will be applied:
- no Download Speed Restriction applied (Upload restriction will not be removed)
- only the 50% of the Traffic Volume will be counted
If the customer upgrades the connection profile all the previous traffic is reset to zero..
